Why I use CBT to help moms

The primary method I use in my coaching practice with moms is CBT (cognitive behavioral therapy). It is basically a family of techniques that allow you to identify the thoughts and beliefs that are subconsciously influencing your behavior and moods, and then redesigning them. The result is better thinking, which leads to better behavior and moods.

I was first introduced to the concept of CBT when my daughter was 5 years old. She was diagnosed with ASD (Autism Spectrum Disorder) and she was struggling at school. I decided to homeschool her because her behavior was getting worse and the school's method, ABA (Applied Behavior Analysis), was not helping her. I found a CBT game that helped her recognize and label her emotions and make connections between her feelings and her actions. This was huge for us.

I got such a breakthrough with my little girl! She was less stressed, more expressive, and we were able to bond and communicate so much better. I loved the strategies so much that I specialized in CBT when I certified as a life coach.

The basics include observing your thinking, evaluating it, and changing it. It sounds so simple, but you would be surprised at how many people don't realize why they think or act the way that they do. Many mothers fall victim to negative thoughts that hold them back without realizing they can change. CBT offers simple ideas that anyone can do, yet it opens up so much understanding of ourselves and the people around us. I love it, and it works!

If you are a mom who has been struggling with self-doubt or guilt, my program is designed specifically for you. I can show you how easy it can be to take charge of your thoughts and shape them with CBT methods. You'll be guilt-free and confident in ways you never thought possible.
